Granite has several origins, However these are the most common.
(1) by magmatic processes, depending upon
crystal settling and the order of crystallization of minerals from a
magma (melted silicate rock) or (2) by melting of sedimentary
rocks whose chemical composition is the same as that in granite.
Colouration comes from varying minerals and natural elements
present at the time of solidification, or by naturally introduced
minerals over millions of years.
